Health Insurance
Gann Academy offers group health insurance coverage through Tufts Health Plan (Advantage PPO Saver Plan). This high deductible health plan requires each individual or family to meet a calendar year deductible. The school contributes the following percentage of the plan premium:
- Full-Time Individual — 100%*
- Part-Time Individual — 50%*
- Full-Time Family — 80%*
- Part-Time Family — 40%*

HSA
In conjunction with the Tufts Health Plan, Gann Academy offers a Health Savings Account allowing employees to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to cover medical expenses.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
This plan allows an employee to make pre-tax contributions for medical reimbursement and dependent care.
Dental Insurance
For employees working 20 hours per week or more or regularly teaching no less than 3 courses per week, the school offers a voluntary dental insurance plan through Delta Dental of Massachusetts.
Group Life Insurance
For full-time employees, the school provides group life, at a value of 1x salary, accident and LTD insurance through Principal Life Insurance.
Long-term Disability
Long-term disability, beginning 90 days after an employee becomes disabled, covering 60% of an employee’s base salary, is provided for all full-time employees through Principal Life Insurance.
Retirement Plan
Gann Academy provides eligible employees the opportunity to contribute to the TIAA-CREF pension plan.
Matching contribution to 403(b) plan
The school will contribute $1.00 for each $1.00 contributed by an eligible employee up to a maximum of 5% of base salary earned subject to years of service (starting in year 3).
Tuition for employee’s children
If an employee applies for financial aid, special consideration is made to exclude the parent’s income at the school from the total family income for purposes of determining financial assistance.
Vacation, Holidays, Bereavement, Sick Leave
The school offers generous vacation, holiday, bereavement and sick leave options to faculty and staff.
Faculty Laptop Program
All full-time and half-time faculty members are provided with a laptop for their professional use while employed at Gann Academy. This facilitates high quality teaching and learning, as well as communication critical for building a vibrant and collaborative community of teachers, students and parents.
Facilities
The school Health Services, Athletic Center, Fitness Room, Library, and other facilities are available for employee health, enrichment, and recreation.
