A Message from the Head of School

Dear Friends,

When you walk through the halls of Gann Academy, you can hear the sounds and feel the energy of passionate teachers and students immersed in the inspiring work of teaching and learning. When you visit our school-wide community morning meeting, you can see how our students' diverse talents and interests, their values, and their leadership result in a vibrant and engaging school culture.

Gann is a place where teachers encourage students to think critically, where questions are more important than answers, and where learning, growth, and the pursuit of excellence shape students' experiences, both in and out of the classroom.

Our intensive dual curriculum brings together in-depth study of sciences and humanities and arts and world languages with classical Jewish texts and the richness of the Jewish intellectual tradition. Through classes that explore complex questions, students learn the value of living an integrated life in which the values and texts of the Jewish tradition and concepts and ideas from other academic disciplines shape how they see their world.

Many opportunities outside the classroom, from Jewish life experiences to arts, to athletics, to clubs and other activities provide Gann students the chance to explore their passions and find their voices in the context of a supportive and nurturing Jewish community.

Welcome to this virtual window into our world at Gann Academy, and enjoy the opportunity to explore our website. I hope you will take the time to visit us in person and experience our unique school.

B'vracha (with blessings),
Rabbi Marc Baker
