Gann Academy Students Earn 2007 US Lacrosse Academic All-American Distinction

For the first time in Gann Academy–The New Jewish High School of Greater Boston’s ten-year history, five members of the varsity girl’s lacrosse team made the Academic All-American roster.  The five student-athletes from Gann are among a distinguished list of 27 student-athletes selected from Massachusetts. Ariana Abadian-Heifetz, Liza Elkin, Ariela Knight, Jo Treitman, and Sarah Werner received this prestigious honor based on criteria established by US Lacrosse that included having a minimum 3.6 GPA; carrying over 50% honors/AP courses; being a key contributor to the team; and, making significant contributions to community service.  

Founded in 1997, Gann Academy is a pluralistic Jewish high school with 309 students located on a 20-acre campus in Waltham, Massachusetts.
