There are several ways to determine if the school will be closed:
- Telephone:
After 6:00 a.m
Call the school at 781-642-6800 and listen to the voicemail system
- Television:
After 6:00 a.m
Watch WCVB-TV, Channel 5, WBZ-TV, Channel 4 or WHDH-TV, Channel 7 for school closing listings
- Web Site
After 6:00 a.m
Check the Gann Academy homepage at www.gannacademy.org
Check school closing listing on TheBostonChannel.com
Parents and students can register to receive notification either by email or text message sent to cell phones or PDA’s. Please visit http://www.thebostonchannel.com/closings to sign up for this service.
Additionally, WHDH/Channel 7 offers a “Closing Bell on Your Cell” service for parents. Log onto www.whdh.com and click on Closing Bell on Your Cell. You will need to input your cell phone number, the name of your carrier and can then choose the schools you are interested in hearing about.
