Efraim YudewitzEfraim Yudewitz
Director of Admissions

Education: Rutgers University BA, Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim
Hometown: Dayton OH (but really I call Boston my home)
Favorite Sport: Basketball and most recently golf
Little known facts: At overnight camp I spent more years as a counselor than I did as a camper.
Favorite subject in school: Debate
When I was younger I wanted to be: A basketball coach or a band manager.

Born in OH, but really raised in Miami, FL, I always loved spending time with my family and joking around with my friends. I fell in love with the New England area after going to camp in NH. After a few of my friends from camp starting going to a small school in Waltham called New Jew (now Gann) I started learning more about the school and desperately wanted to move to Boston. It is literally a dream come true for me to spend the school year surrounded by the amazing community of students, parents, and educators that is Gann Academy. My favorite part of Gann is the everyday opportunities to try something new, talk with someone different, and come home fulfilled just like every other school day.

When I am not at Gann, I can usually be found hanging out with my wife, Jess (New Jew Class of 2001), and my dog, Pico. I love going out to dinner, reading on my back porch, and listening to live music (especially Phish)

Associate Director of Admissions

Education: Brandeis University, BA; University of Michigan, MSW
Hometown: Cleveland, OH
Favorite sport: Any one being played by a Cleveland team
Favorite subject in school: English
When I was younger I wanted to be: an actress

Though born and raised in Cleveland, OH, I have spent some of my most formative years in Waltham, MA.. I joined the Gann Admissions team in 2010 after having attended, and then years later worked at, Brandeis University. There are so many things to love about Gann, but my favorite is that each day I meet amazing people. In particular, I am in awe of the students at the school; they truly are the most engaging people I've spent time with!

When not at Gann, I can usually be found in the kitchen, whipping up a new dessert. I also enjoy reading and spending time with my husband, Jay.
