Gann Academy is preparing to launch its 2009-2010 Alumni Appeal. The Annual Appeal directly supports the day to day activities of the school and has an impact on the amount of financial aid we are able to distribute as well as help fund the professional development resources for our teachers. As Gann Academy embarks on its thirteenth, Bar Mitzvah year, please help keep the legacy and strength of the school alive. You can make your gift by clicking on the donate now button above which will bring you to a secure credit card link, or by sending a check payable to Gann Academy, Attn: Development Office, 333 Forest Street, Waltham, MA 02452.

Highlights of recent events
Alumni Reunion in Israel,
October 26, 2008

Non-stop conversations were the norm at our recent gathering
of NewJew/Gann alumni in Jerusalem, Israel. The eighteen alumni enjoyed
the delicious food at T’mol Shilshom, a combination bookstore and
eatery in the heart of downtown Jerusalem. One highlight of the evening
included alumni from classes of 2000 through 2003 introducing themselves
to the 2008 alumni participating in gap year programs. The ’08 alums
were impressed to learn which programs at Gann were created by these not
so much older alumni—such as the Prom, Shevuon, and LitMag. The ’08
alumni are on various programs that include Young Judea Year Course, Kivunim,
Nativ—Conservative Yeshiva, and Mechina—an Israeli Leadership
Preparatory Program for entering the army. Also one alumnus from ’08
is preparing to enter the army in the early spring.
