Gann Academy offers a number of options for transportation to and from the school. The school runs four regular school bus routes and two commuter rail routes each year depending on sufficient student interest and registration. The cost of bus service varies according to the bus route. Students must register for all transportation services prior to the start of the school year. Transportation needs are reviewed on a yearly basis and routes adjusted to accommodate the changing geographic distribution of the student body. Gann Academy bus routes are designed to be regional and not all students may live close enough to walk to/from the bus stop each day. The availability of spaces on buses is limited, and the ultimate responsibility for student transportation rests with the family. Transportation OptionsCarpoolParents may elect to drive students to/from school or arrange a carpool with other Gann Academy families. The school provides a parent email forum each summer and throughout the school year for parents to arrange carpools with other Gann families. The school does not facilitate carpooling directly. Students and parents may post to the Gann Carpool Forum to arrange a carpool with other Gann families. To post to the forum, send an email from your personal email account to carpool@gannacademy.org. Be sure to include contact information and your carpool interests in your email. Families can view the postings by clicking on the Gann Parent Association (GPA) icon in the Parent Area of the school’s FirstClass email system and then clicking on the Carpool Forum icon.
