Gann Academy students are active in recreating a spirited
school community each day. A vast array of organizations and activities
provides students with a multitude of ways in which to participate and
influence the day-to-day life of the school. Both required electives
and student-run committees and clubs proliferate based on the diverse
interests and needs of the student population.
Electives feature publications, arts and athletic offerings, and classes
focusing on social action and literary arts. The student clubs and organizations
promote a wide range of activities, including support, advocacy, and
social justice groups. A special feature of the student government is
its collaboration programs (Collab), which brings students and faculty
together to address common concerns.
Open and respectful discussions that draw our community closer, careful
examination of ideas and programs, consideration for all members of our
community, and vibrant and innovative offerings are the hallmarks of
student life at Gann Academy. |
