Gann Academy continues to grow and look for ways to meet the various individual needs in our community. We have students with a range of abilities who come to the school, and it is our goal to ensure that each student successfully maximizes his/her potential.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT
In the Learning Center, our learning specialists help students to understand their learning styles and develop strategies to be successful within the classroom. They impart methodologies so that students increase their independence as they go forward with their education. They work closely with the teachers to address the full spectrum of learning styles in each classroom. When needed or requested, accommodations and modifications are designed and implemented in conjunction with the teachers and students. When parents provide educational evaluations and reports, the information is interpreted, recommendations are written, and they are provided to the classroom teachers.

As a result of parental concerns, faculty referrals, or academic performance, students may be identified as needing support. Instruction may be provided in small groups or individually. Even when students use strategies more independently or no longer want extra support, they know that the door is always open!

HEALTH
Gann Academy has a full-time nurse on the staff to provide for the physical needs of our students.   Gann also has a school psychologist on its staff.  Students may see the nurse or school psychologist for a variety of medical reasons. Either students or parents may request their services.  Parents are welcome to call or schedule an appointment whenever they have any concerns.
