Honoring Elena Morgan
Sunday June 8 from 1-4pm
After 23 amazing years at Gann, Spanish teacher Elena Morgan is retiring. Alumni from many years will fondly recall their Spanish classes, advisories, and Explo Week trips with Elena, and we invite you to join us in celebrating her impressive tenure at Gann during Alumni Day! To make a gift in her honor, visit www.gannacademy.org/giving.
Submit a Memory or Photo of Elena

A memorable field trip to an art museum—a really fun experience.
Joseph Shrager, Alumni
I am so grateful for Elena for her passion and teaching – I still speak Spanish today, and continue to read and practice, inspired by her!
Akiva Jackson, alum
I’m happy for Elena. She has had such a full career and touched so many students’ lives!! And mine! I think I am a better, more thoughtful educator as a direct result of working with her.
Carolyn Siegel, former World Languages faculty
I loved working with Elena in the early 2000s. She is so friendly and a wonderful teacher. When I made the Gann schedule, Elena could be assigned any Spanish or French class, which was amazing.
Leah Gordon, former faculty member and parent of ’25 student
Donya Mi Amore! What an incredible career! I may have dropped your French class when I was in 10th grade, but I will always cherish our work together on Ma’avar during my “second tour of duty” as a member of the faculty. I will never forget your kindness, your openness, and your willingness to do everything for your students AND your coworkers. Enjoy retirement!
