Gann offers multiple access points for artists and
arts-appreciators to engage with theatre as actors, directors, designers, technicians, playwrights, and audiences. Through classes and productions, students learn how to collaborate, create, innovate, explore new worlds and perspectives, and build up the muscles of compassion. Students learn through peer-to-peer mentoring and training with professional theatre
artists.
The Red Curtain Drama Club, RCDC, is Gann’s
oldest club. Each year, the club holds multiple shows,
including “Playhem,” a student run collection of short plays. Cast, directed, and performed by students, Playhem provides hands-on experience to all parts
of live theatre production.
In spring 2022, the Red Curtain Drama Club staged “Into
the Woods” as the company’s yearly musical. With over 50
students involved in the production as actors, directors,
designers, and technicians, the club hosted three sold-
out shows in our Bernice Krupp Black Box Theatre Theatre
to rave reviews!
