Gann Closes Out Week 1 in Strong Fashion
Gann wrapped up its first week of action with a decisive league victory over CSW, 82-39.
Playing its 3rd game in 3 days--Gann showed no signs of fatigue with a convincing win over league rival Cambridge School of Weston. From the outset, Gann looked sharp and dominated both ends of the floor--putting up 53 points by the intermission and a 31 point lead at the half. "CSW has a strong team with one of the best 3 point shooters in the league-- and some very athletic bigs, but I think this was just a case of we were clicking on all cylinders tonight and were able to put them in a tough spot very early on." said Coach Nole. "While we put up nice offensive numbers the first two games--it was largely based on our guys individual talents and not so much as us working as a unit. Tonite I think we saw that if we combine those talents within our system we can take things to another level." Gann was led tonight by its own sharpshooter, Dan Metser, who finished with 18 points including 4 from beyond the arc. With the win Gann moves to 3-0 on the young season and 2-0 in league play.
