Gann Takes MBIL Semi-Final, 76-36
Gann downed Covenant Christian Academy in convincing style in the opening game of MBIL playoff action.
Entering tonight's MBIL semi-final game as the top seed with an 8-0 record within MBIL action, Gann showed no sign of let down as the Heifer's jumped on #4 seed Covenant Christian from the opening tip, pushing to a 30 point lead at the half and the issue never in doubt. Dan Metser set the tone early dropping 4 three pointers in the opening 5 minutes, pushing Gann to a 15-4 early lead. With strong play from the entire roster, Gann pushed to a 47-17 lead by the half. "In an opening round game such as this, and after defeating CCA 2x this year by 15 and 30, there is always that chance we take the court not quite as focused as we should be--but that was clearly not the case tonight." said Coach Nole. Overall Gann was led by Metser with 14 and Eli Cole with 13 in only 9 minutes of action. Gann was able to put 13 players in the scoring column including a three pointer by Eric Kruglak and 6 points by Jesse Levisohn who made only his second appearance of the season after battling back from knee surgery. With the win Gann moves to 15-5 overall. Gann will seek just its 3rd MBIL title in the past 8 years when they face the winner of BTA/CSW Thursday afternoon at Gann (game time TBD).
