Jewish Advocate Profiles Dr. Dalia Hochman
"What drew you to Gann Academy?" "What issues are facing Jewish day schools today?" and, "How have your past experiences prepared you for this position?"
These are a few of the questions addressed in last week's interview with Gann's new Head of School, Dr. Dalia Hochman published in The Jewish Advocate.
Excerpt from the interview:
"Having played a diverse set of roles in K-12 education has prepared me for the different hats the head of school wears. I have a deep understanding of some of the most promising approaches to teaching and learning at the high school level, including mastery-based learning, social-emotional learning, and project-based learning. I have led major roll-outs of curriculum and teaching initiatives and am quite sensitive about how to lead change to generate buy-in and sustainability. We have a world-class faculty at Gann, and they are already engaged in many of these exciting initiatives. I look forward to bringing my experience to support their ongoing efforts."
