Purchase Tickets to the Fall Play

The Fall Play is “Marian, Or The True Tale of Robin Hood,” a rollicking medieval adventure story, a modern twist on the classic Robin Hood tale full of swordplay and fisticuffs. The show is a gender-bending, patriarchy-smashing, hilarious new take on the classic tale. Robin Hood is (and has always been) Maid Marian in disguise, and leads a motley group of Merry Men (few of whom are actually men) against the greedy Prince John. Modern concerns and romantic entanglements clash on the battlefield and on the ramparts of Nottingham Castle in this play about selfishness, selflessness, love deferred, and the fight. Always the fight. The fight must go on.

Show Director Lynda Bachman and her students have been working hard for weeks to prepare for opening night. Sets have been built, lines have been learned, and cues have been memorized. Most excitingly, the choreography has been set.

"Marian, Or The True Tale of Robin Hood" is full of action and adventure—and fight choreography. To tackle the complex stage combat safely, Lynda Bachman, the show's director, is partnering with a professional fight director, Squier. Throughout the rehearsal process, Squier will teach the cast how to safely perform hand-to-hand stage combat, as well as weapons-work with swords, quarterstaffs, and longbows.

Don't miss your chance to see this show in action! Performances are next weekend only, starting Thursday, November 17, and ending Sunday, November 20. Be sure to grab your band of merry men and purchase your tickets here.
