Michelle Herzlinger, Vice President

Michelle Herzlinger has been a professional secondary school education in both Jewish and secular school settings, for both public and private institutions in New York City. Most of her career was spent at The Rodeph Sholom School on the Upper West Side of Manhattan where Michelle was a secular classroom teacher and later served as the Department Head of Jewish Studies for Early Childhood through eighth grade.
Michelle has served on numerous boards and committees for several Jewish organizations including Westchester Fairfield Hebrew Academy in Greenwich, CT; Jewish Family Services of Greenwich, The Abraham Joshua Heschel School in Manhattan, and most recently Gateways Access to Jewish Education in Boston. Currently, Michelle serves on both the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for The Maimonidies School in Brookline, MA. Michelle holds a B.A. in English and Jewish Studies from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and received her M.A. in Teaching and Curriculum from Teachers College at Columbia University.
Currently, Michelle’s most valuable personal experience comes from her work as a Jewish mother to her three children: Sam, Gann ‘21, Julia, and Gabriel, Gann ‘24. Creating a Jewish home where her typical sons and her daughter with special needs can thrive joyfully is both her greatest challenge and greatest blessing.
