Going into the match, Gann was ranked #1 in the league while Boston Trinity was ranked #3. This game came after a week of playoff matches, with each team fighting hard to earn their spot in the finals. The game was neck-and-neck for the first half; every shot from Gann was answered with one from Boston Trinity. Gann had a slight lead going into halftime, up 30-28.

In the second half, our team showed their level of talent and drive. With everything on the line, the boys showed up, maintaining thier lead. With three minutes left on the clock, Gann was up a whopping 22 points.

The game ended 69-52, in favor of Gann! Our players were incredible and Eli L. ’23 scored an impressive 23 points.

This is Gann’s third win in four seasons, showing the high level of commitment from both students and coaches. The Gann community is so proud of the whole team!

Still craving more basketball? Well, the season might not be over just yet. After this epic win, the Varsity Boys team is waiting to hear if they will receive a New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) bid, and become one of eight teams to compete in the NEPSAC tournament. We’re rooting for you!
