Emilie Goncalves came to Gann in 2015. As Director of Admissions, Emilie works directly with prospective families, helping to guide them through the admissions process and understand what a Gann education offers. Prior to working at Gann, Emilie worked at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) as a Program & Development Officer on the Young Adult Initiative team, focusing on their Outreach & Engagement strategy. Emilie earned a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of San Francisco, where she lived for nine years before moving to Boston in 2011. Emilie also spent 16 summers at URJ-NFTY’s Goldman Union Camp Institute (GUCI) in Zionsville, IN. She lives in Somerville with her husband, Adam.
Rachel Kalikow joined the staff at Gann Academy in the fall of 2012. As Director of Community Outreach and Partnerships, Rachel creates opportunities for middle school families to learn about the stimulating education and community that Gann offers. Prior to Gann, Rachel consulted for organizations including JOIN for Justice and the New Israel Fund. She also has worked for the Foundation for Jewish Culture, Jewish Women's Archive, Facing History and Ourselves, and the American Jewish Committee. Rachel has lived in the Boston area for nearly 20 years, interrupted by brief moves to England and New York. She lives in Newton with her husband, David, two daughters, and cockatiel.
Gina Carballo came to Gann in 2013. Gina is the Admissions Associate for the admissions department. Gina previously worked at a top-tier financial advisory practice for seven years. Gina is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She lives in Cambridge with her husband, Justin, and their Weimaraner, Silver.
