Steps to Apply

The online application will be available via the Gann Admissions Portal in September. To gain access to the Admissions Portal, please contact our office at 781-642-6800. The deadline for admissions applications for the 2019-2020 academic year is Monday, January 14, 2019.

Gann requires all applicants to 9th grade to take the SSAT*.

STEP ONE: Request Admissions Information

Take the first step towards joining our community by Activating Your Candidate Profile. This will help us to stay in contact with your family over the coming year and provide you with additional information about Gann Academy. Families with more than one child interested in applying should submit a separate online inquiry for each child.  We will reach out to you directly upon receiving your online inquiry.

You may also request information at any time by contacting our office at (781) 642-6800.  We look forward to answering any questions you might have about our school and admissions process.

STEP TWO: Schedule a Family Tour and Interview

The best way to learn about Gann Academy is to join us for a family tour of our campus.  After your toura member of the Admissions team will interview the candidate and his or her parent(s)/guardian(s).  Please note that this is a required step in our application process, in addition to being an excellent opportunity for us to answer any additional questions you may have.
Once you have visited with us, we will provide you with a username and password, granting you access to our online admissions portal.  This is where you will find our application for admission as well as additional information to help you manage the application process.

STEP THREE: Apply Online

Your Gann username will allow you to access our online application portal.  From here you will be able to view your Admissions Progress Checklist and complete and submit your application at your own pace.

STEP FOUR: Schedule a Visit Day

See yourself at Gann Academy by spending a morning or afternoon as our students do!  We invite and encourage all applicants to join us during an actual school day at Gann.  Once you have submitted your application, a member of our team will contact you to schedule an individual morning or afternoon Visit Day.  Upon your arrival at Gann, we will introduce you to a current student who will be your host for your visit.  You’ll have the opportunity to join your host for two classes of interest as well as lunch.

STEP FIVE: Admissions Notification

Applicants who have submitted their application by the January 14 deadline will be notified of our admissions decision on March 8.  Decisions will be made available via the online admissions portal by 12:00pm.

*The Secondary School Admission Test, or SSAT, is an admission test administered by The Enrollment Management Association to students in grades 3–11. It provides a standardized measure that helps our team make a decision regarding student admission, but is only part of the equation. The SSAT is required for all applicants to the 9th grade. When you register for the SSAT, please request that your scores be reported directly to Gann Academy. Our school code is 5311.

Financial Aid Resources

Traditional Financial Aid

This need-based program uses income and asset documents provided by families, in combination with other pertinent information. A committee evaluates all applications submitted through SSS (School and Student Services) to determine a family’s tuition assessment. Gann guarantees that all families who qualify for traditional need-based financial aid will receive a minimum award of $5,000.

Within Reach

Within Reach is a program that offers predictable tuition for four years, scaled to your family income. Eligible families with an adjusted gross income between $175,000 and $500,000 and net assets under $500,000 (excluding primary residence and retirement accounts) may apply for this program.
Visit the Within Reach page to learn more about the program, view your family's personal tuition scale, and to download the Within Reach application.

Pioneer Program

The Pioneer Program is for students who are joining us from public schools. The program offers an annual 20% tuition discount to a limited number of students who enroll at Gann for the ninth grade from public middle schools. Any Gann applicant to the ninth grade who attended public school since at least sixth grade and who does not have a sibling who has attended Gann may apply for the program. For 2018-2019, students in the Pioneer Program will pay tuition of $35,800.

Professional Partner Program

The Gann community is enriched by the active engagement of our communal leaders and their families, therefore the Professional Partner Program is for students with the primary-income parent who is a full-time Jewish communal professional. Recipients receive a tuition discount of $10,000 per child per year. This program is available to both ninth grade and transfer applicants. For 2018-2019, students in the Professional Partner Program pay tuition of $34,750.
