Meet the Gann Academy Class of 2021
We are excited to welcome the incoming class to the Gann community! This year, more than 70 new students hail from 24 different towns around New England.
“Gann draws students from all over Greater Boston,” says Director of Enrollment Management Farrah Rubenstein. “Students who come to Gann are able to develop friendships with kids from Marblehead to Sharon, Worcester to Brookline.”
The Class of 2021 represents one of the most Jewishly-diverse classes at Gann. Families list their affiliation across the entire spectrum of Jewish practice—about a third of the class comes from families identifying as Conservative, around 20 percent each identify as Orthodox and Reform, and another quarter of the class either is unaffiliated or belongs to a community outside of these movements.
The student body comes from 23 middle schools, both independent and public. The class is also notable for the number of students interested in math and science, world languages (Spanish, French, and Arabic), and performing arts.
