  • Gann Teacher Recognized for Contributions to Greater Boston’s Jewish Community

    Congratulations to Gann history teacher Dr. Jonathan Golden, who was recognized last week as a 2018 Chai in the Hub honoree. Dr. Golden was one of 10 recipients to receive this honor given by Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) for his work to better the Greater Boston Jewish community. 

    Dr. Golden teaches AP History and is Gann's Israel Curriculum Coordinator. Additionally, he serves on the board of both AJC New England and Camp Yavneh, and oversees Gann's Israel Adult Education Initiative in partnership with CJP.

  • Dr. Jonah Hassenfeld

    Gann Teacher Receives Grant to Promote Research and Leadership

    Gann's Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning Dr. Jonah Hassenfeld has been named one of three grant recipient for the the Consortium for Applied Studies in Jewish Education's Research on the Practice of Jewish Education grant. The grant will support Dr. Hassenfeld's research into the outcomes of teacher-led research initiatives at Gann Academy. The project is in partnership with the The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education at Brandeis University.
