  • Gann Losses Tight Game

    Gann dropped a tightly contested contest against CCA in the first round of the playoffs. Gann was playing short handed but battled all game long. The game came down to the final minute. It was a tie game, CCA made a huge 3 and we couldn't answer. The team played amazing defense all game, doing a great job slowing down the league MVP on CCA. Deena and Gabby mainly covered her and did an amazing job. We got huge contributions offensively from Noga, Rachael, Emily, Netanya and Yakira. Danielle Bejerano knocked down a 3, Ilana rebounded well, and Maya had a positive and upbeat attitude that was infectious. This team was a great group and played hard every game all year. It was a great season!!!

  • CCA Beats Gann

    CCA defeated Gann 41-26. Gann took a 6-4 lead, and that was the only lead we had all game. CCA played very well, and it seemed as if there was a lid on the basket for Gann. Gann looks to rebound next against Concord.

    Gann beat Concord 32-27. Gann played locked down defense all game, anchored bt Rachael Frisch in the middle. The defense was relentless and the offense was able to do just enough to secure the win..

  • Gann squeaks out a win

    Gann beat Brimmer 39-37. Gann got out to a hot start but Brimmer battled back and it was a back and forth game the entire second half. Emily SHoulson and Danielle Yahalom combined for 30 of the teams' 39 points, including some big baskets down the stretch. Gann will play Landmark at home nect on Thursday.

  • Maimo Beats Gann

    Maimo came out hot and never looked back on Saturday night. Gann played hard throughout and never gave up, but #1 and #33 for Maimo were simply too much for Gann to handle as both girls played very well. Tayla Lerner and Danielle Bejerano both provided a spark off the bench for Gann with some much needed scoring, while Deena Karger and Danielle Yahalom paced the starters. 
    Next up Gann looks to get a big conference win over Brimmer.

  • Gann wins Nail Biter

    In a very closely contested game, Gann edged out Concord 23-18. It was a tight game throughout as both teams played suffocating defense. Senior Deena Karger made the go ahead 3 with a minute left and Sophomore Danielle Yahalom made another 3 a few second later to ice it. Gann looks to carry the momentum of the last minute win into the big showdown Saturday night.

    Gann defeated Brimmer 48-23 to win their third straight. Danielle Yahalom and Emily Shoulson led the way on offense, and Danielle Bejerano chipped in with 4 points.  The entire team played excellent defense, and the team looks to carry the momentum over to their next game against Montrose.

    Gann defeated PCD 41-31. Gann took control of the game early and cruised to a 10 point victory. Noga was hot early knocking down 3 3pointers in the first few minutes as Gann began to pull away. Everybody played great defense, and it was an excellent team effort. Gann is back to .500 and look to keep the streak going against Brimmer.

    Gann defeated PCD 36-31. Gann played the game with only 8 players as we are still battling injuries and sickness going around. All 8 players contributed in the win, and some stand outs included Danielle Yahalom pacing the way with the scoring, Deena hitting some big shots down the stretch and Maya hitting her first varsity 3 pointer. Next up is PCD at home.

    CCA defetaed Gann 39-35. It was a closely contested game throughout, but Gann was never able to quite get over the hump. Next Gann plays Montrose on December 19th at home.

  • Montrose beats Gann

    In a tightly contested game Montrose defetaed Gann 42-36. Gann was playing short handed, only having 8 players suit up. Those 8 players played hard and showed a lot of fight in the loss. Sopomore Danielle Yahalom led the way for Gann with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Junior Gabby Hyman scored her first varsity career point by making a free throw. Gann is 1-3 heading into the break having lost 3 very close games. 
    Gann should benefit from the rest and will hopefully be back at full strength after the break.

  • Bancroft edges Gann

    Bancroft overcame an 8 point half time deficit to beat Gann 35-34. Sophomore guard Danielle Yahalom paced the way offensively, and sophomore forward Netanya Simon had double digit rebounds. It was a tough loss. Gann plays again tonight in their home opener against Covenant Christian.

  • Gann wins at buzzer

    Gann won a thriller at Landmark last night. Sophomore Emily Shoulson hit a 3 from a few steps over half court at the buzzer for the win. It was the first time all game Gann had the lead. Gann got down 13-0 but never gave up and battled all the way back to tie it with a little over a minute left, before Emily's heroics. It was a great team win, and a heck of a way to start the season.
