While many high school students are currently at home, restless, and feeling alone, Gann students are engaging in a robust Gann BaBayit (Gann at Home) program that is delivering our entire Jewish Studies, General Studies, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum in a virtual manner. It has been so heartwarming to receive the outpouring of support from our parents and students:
“Thank you for pivoting so quickly to transition to online learning and opportunities to create community. It's above and beyond what we are seeing anywhere else."
“On the first day of online learning, four of my child's teachers said, 'I love you' to the students at the end of class! We are so fortunate to be in the Gann community at this difficult time. Thank you."
At Gann, our core values help guide our work: we aim to Connect (Chibur), Strive (She’ifa), Care (Kavod), and Create (Yetzirah). In an effort to come together as a community and lift one another up, Gann Cares 2020 will provide customized support to families to help ensure that they are able to continue sending their children to Gann during this difficult time. The goal of this program, which was developed in partnership with the Board of Trustees and generous members of our Gann community, is to raise the funds to provide all families with the support they need.
Lastly, Gann Cares is available to help address any other concerns facing Gann families at this time: it can provide resources for mental health or other forms of counseling or spiritual support, where needed.
Gann Cares 2020 is open to all prospective and current families at Gann. To learn more about the program, please contact Sarah Rogers at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a confidential meeting with Gann leadership.
Do not worry alone. Gann Cares 2020 is here to help.
