  • Gann Baseball cruises to win over Waltham High JV's

    Gann beat the Waltham JV team 11-1 in 5 innings.  Gahl Rones dominated on the mound in his first start of the season, holding Waltham to 1 hit.  Gann's offense produced up and down the lineup with Zack Needle, Daniel Galper, Lishi Baker, Elon Schwartz and Leo Blotner all contributing run scoring hits.
  • Gann Baseball wins its second straight game

    Gann baseball won its second straight game by beating Chapel Hill-Chauncy Hall 15-4 in a 5 inning game.  Jonah Zanger got the win on the mound pitching 4 innings while Leo Blotner finished with a scoreless 5th inning.  Ziv Lakein went 2 for 2 in his first start to ignite big innings for Gann while Lev Kolter-Berkowitz and Benjy Schwartz chipped in with timely hits.
  • Gann Baseball beats BTA 8-2 for 1st home win

    Gann beat BTA 8-2 for a solid team win.  Zach Needle pitched into the 7th inning in another strong performance and Jordan Goldstein closed out the win getting the last 2 outs with 2 runners on base.  Gann had a strong game at the plate with multi-hit games by Josh Sherman, Adam Rubin and Leo Blotner.  
  • Gann Baseball wins at BTA

    Gann Baseball earned its 1st win of 2021 by beating BTA 4-1.  Elan Schwartz pitched 4 shutout innings in his first start of the season and Jonah Zanger pitched 3 strong innings in relief to get the save.  Gann scored with an opportunistic offensive attack including aggressive baserunning, a crucial bunt by Daniel Galper and timely hitting from Josh Sherman and Zach Needle.  Gann again played a strong defensive game, throwing out several BTA runners on the bases and playing flawlessly in the field highlighted by fine plays by Jonah Weinstock and Jacob Pearl.  Special recognition to catcher Caleb Glashow in his first start for an outstanding performance behind the plate.  Next game at Landmark Thursday, 5/6.
  • Gann Returns to the Field with Promising Start

    Gann Baseball lost its opening game of the 2021 season against Landmark by a score of 3-2.  This was a well played game by both teams and Landmark scored 2 runs in the 7th Inning to erase a 2-1 Gann lead and earn the victory.  Zach Needle pitched an outstanding game and also drove in both Gann runs with a 2 run single in the 1st Inning scoring Daniel Galper and Josh Sherman.  Second baseman Jordan Goldstein led a fine defensive effort with several sparkling plays in the field.  This was a promising start to the season and the team looks forward to our next game Monday 5/3 at BTA.
