Application Process

Ignite your possibilites at Gann Academy. The steps for applying for admission to Gann are outlined below.

Step 1: Inquire

Gann uses BlackBaud for our online inquiry and application. Take the first step towards learning more our community by Activating Your Candidate Profile. Inquire below and we'll send you more information about Gann.

Families with more than one child interested in applying should create a separate candidate profile for each child.

Step 2: Virtual Visit

The best way for you to learn about Gann is to join us for a personalized family tour of our campus. However, during these unprecedented times, we created an alternative way for you to view our campus! Gann’s virtual tour (available this fall) will give you an up close and personal peak into what it looks like to attend Gann Academy.  In order for us to get to know your family, this is a required step in our application process.

Step 3: Interview

An interview is a required part of the admission process. Gann is currently conducting virtual interviews. Contact the Admissions Office to schedule an appointment. The interview includes separate meetings with the applicant and parent(s)/guardian(s) and an in-house writing sample to be completed by the applicant.

Step 4: Apply

All application materials are due January 15.

Our online application along with a checklist to help manage the progress of your application is available in our Admissions Portal.

Step 5: Notification

All applicants who submit their application by the January 15, 2021 deadline will receive an admissions decision on March 10, 2021.
Newly admitted students will be invited to come together via Zoom or in person as a cohort in the Spring for orientation and course registration.

Admitted students have until April 12 to submit their online enrollment contract and deposit.

Standardized Tests

The SSAT for the 2020-21 school year will be optional. However, we do require Grade 9 applicants complete the Character Snapshot.
How do families take The Snapshot? Create an account on Register for the SSAT or purchase The Character Skills Snapshot. When families register for the SSAT, they receive free access to take The Character Skills Snapshot. Families who will not register for the SSAT can purchase The Snapshot for $40. Once a student is either registered for the SSAT or a parent has purchased The Snapshot on their behalf, parents must consent to allow their children to access the assessment. To take The Snapshot, the student logs into their account, agrees to the Integrity Statement, then proceeds.
