Striving for Excellence

Pursuit of excellence and sportsmanship are hallmarks of the Gann Athletics program. Gann Academy offers several Varsity and JV sports competing in the NEPSAC (New England Preparatory School Athletic Council) as well as variety of recreational athletic offerings. The girls compete in the IGC (Independent Girls Conference) and the boys compete in the MBIL (Mass Bay Independent League). All sports emphasize competing with integrity and effort and students collaborate with others and to be their best selves on the field and off. For the 2016-2017 season, Gann Teams won NEPSAC Championships in Boys Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Softball and Girls Tennis. Of course, Not everyone starts high school as a star athlete, but through Gan's recreational sports program students of all levels find themselves doing things they never imagined and understanding what it means to be part of a team, to step up, to give the extra effort. The skills learned through sports last forever.  So be brave. Try out for a team or take a sport for recreational reasons and discover yourself getting stronger.
