As the week wrapped up, our tenth graders set off on our inaugural Tenth Grade Retreat, diving into community service, Jewish traditions, and class bonding.
Centered around the theme of Achdut (unity), the retreat inspired students to explore togetherness through various meaningful service projects. They volunteered at organizations such as Waltham Creative Start, Bikes Not Bombs, the Allston Brighton Food Pantry, Boston Area Gleaners, Gaining Ground, The Food Project, and Rofeh. As the day continued, they headed to Camp Ramah for an evening of communal meals and hands-on Jewish learning, where they celebrated a Sheva Brachot for Jewish Life Fellow, Boaz Willis in honor of his recent marriage. The celebration featured joyous singing, blessings, and a lively expression of Jewish community.
A special thank you to the Jewish Life team for organizing this retreat. It not only empowered students to give back but also deepened their connections across the grade.
